A deciding moment is when a choice between options is required. Five months into the war, Israel’s future depends on accomplishing two major tasks: caring for Israelis through this war and helping communities rebuild, and ensuring Israel retains its democratic character. Rather than forego fighting either battle, Brothers and Sisters in Arms split into two separate organizations, so that each could focus on one of two fronts:
- Brothers and Sisters in Arms – for Democracy would return to fighting for Israeli democracy
- Brothers and Sisters of Israel – the Civilian HQ would continue to lead and initiate responses to civilian needs
Both organizations will uphold the principles of a Jewish and democratic state in the spirit of Israel’s Declaration of Independence.
We are Brothers and Sisters in Arms – for Democracy, and we intend to ensure Israel remains a thriving Jewish democracy for generations to come. We hope you will partner us in this important endeavor.
